As I was going out one day
My head fell off and rolled away. But when I saw that it was gone, I picked it up and put it on And when I got into the street A fellow cried: ‘Look at your feet!’ I looked at them and sadly said: ‘I’ve left them both asleep in bed!’ By Anonymous Funny Poems for Kids - Funny, crazy and silly poems for the classroom, home or wherever you please

Hello, my family and I have been searching for the book that this poem is written in. My father had read it to me as a kid, along with other poems. We have been driving ourselves crazy over the title of the book. Do you by chance have the boo you found this poem in????

I read this poem back in the 1960s from a poem book. I don’t remember the book name.

The poem appeared in "Silly Verse (and Even Worse)" by Joseph Rosenbloom (1979), although the words there differ a little from those presented here.
