Funny Poems for Kids

Step on a crack

5/3/2019

15 Comments

Step on a crack,
You’ll break your mother’s back;
Step on a line
You’ll break your father’s spine.

Step in a ditch,
Your mother’s nose will itch;
Step in the dirt
You’ll tear your father’s shirt

I love this but here's a better one and not so mean to your mom

Step on a crack you have to buy a snack
step to a ditch you'll fall on a stick

Sorry tried my best and it's not so mean to your parents

step on a crack and you break your mamas back, step on a line and you break your fathers spine, step in a hole and you break your siblings skull, step on a square and now there's poison in the air

In the book, Delerium by Lauren Oliver, chapter 5 page 39 there's the rhyme, "Step on a crack, you'll break your mama's back. Step on a stone, you'll end up all alone. Step on a stick, you're bound to get the Sick. Watch where you tread, you'll bring out all the dead."

i think this poem is very offensive to all those people who are trans and dont have a dad. Its biassed against the LGBTQ community and all their future children. Honestly its kinda discusting. I hope you guys change it. You just lost a very loyal customer.

Are you going out of your way to be offended by an old children’s nursery rhyme. Pick your battles. There are certainly bigger issues you could find to take offense at!

my diamond earring fell of in the ocean, and now its gone

KIM THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT ARE DYING.....

Point is it's a poem... take a chill. Don't make an issue out of nothing.
